Oscar 2021: vince Nomadland, regia di Chloé Zhao. Italia a mani vuote

Nonostante il 2020 sia stato uno degli anni più disgraziati degli ultimi tempi a causa della risaputa pandemia, dopo molte domande e dubbi la famosa 93esima edizione dei Premi Oscar ha avuto luogo e l’ha fatto in presenza con le dovute precauzioni. L’Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences ha conferito le sue statuette al Dolby Theatre di Los Angeles, facendole consegnare da presentatori dai nomi altisonanti: Brad Pitt, Halle Berry, Harrison Ford, Reese Witherspoon, Renée Zellweger, Joaquin Phoenix, Laura Dern, Angela Bassett, Bong Joon Ho, Don Cheadle, Bryan Cranston, Regina King, Marlee Matlin, Rita Moreno e Zendaya.

Tirando le somme, si può definire questa serata una cerimonia dai risultati equilibrati, nonostante qualche sorpresa, come ad esempio l’Oscar a Anthony Hopkins e non al compianto Chadwick Boseman, e qualche delusione, soprattutto per noi italiani che, nonostante la “nostra” presenza in più categorie, siamo rimasti con la bocca asciutta.
